I haven't flown either yet. When I try and get the GPS to work, my machine says it can't find COM1 or COM4. I have tried both serial and USB. I am also getting a floating point error with the GPS software too. I am running Windows XP Home Edition on a Dell XPS 2007 machine. Thank you for any help or tips..Howard -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I have a GPSFlight, not an ARTS2, but the serial port on the computer should be handled the same for either. You will also need to see what baud rate, parity, and number of bits the serial port is set to (this is why USB is easier). Don't be fooled by a port that is used by an internal device, like a modem. Look and see if your computer has a modem (also in Device Manager) and if so, find out by looking at the properties which serial port the modem is using. You cannot use that same port for one of the ports coming out the back of the computer. As far as the GPS software from the ARTS2 giving you a FP error, that is something that Loki might have to help you with.
