[ARTS] Need Recommendation For E-matches In 1-Battery Configuration

I see they call out 500ma as the minimum all-fire current (i.e. every
match should fire at or below 500ma).
Though they also ‘recommend’ 750ma minimum firing current so perhaps the
500ma specification really indicates something less than 100% all fire?

What about running 1 battery in 2-battery mode and accept the risk of
brown out on the computer end?

Subject: [ARTS] Need Recommendation For E-matches In 1-Battery
Configuration

Hi,

I wanted to find out from other ARTS2 users what E-matches work best
when you are flying in a 1-battery configuration and w/o bypassing the
current limiter.

I already know that it is better to fly with two batteries etc. Please
don’t repond with recommendations to “just hook up a 2nd battery, as
that is not what I am asking about here. I know how to set things up
with 2 batteries, but I have some cases where size constraints don’t
allow for that, and I need to fly with just one.

I am having an impossible time finding an E-match or other charge
initiator that will fire reliably on the 500ma current that the ARTS2
supplies in 1-battery mode. M-tek E-matches from MJG say they fire on a
“minimum” current of 500ma but that sounds dicey to me…like they might
not fire. If there are any other users out there who have flown it this
way, and identified a product that works reliably at 500ma, please let
me know the name of the product, and also the name of your supplier.

Thanks in advance!

Jarrett
