Hello, I have a ARTS TX-900G?and was able to get the ARTS I to display the PRYO channel and SYNC the ARTS TX-900G?with the ARTS RX-900. These are the earlier versions of the GPS system. 
?
I can not obtain GPS link when inside my house, It has been kinda cold and have not ventured outside to give it a try yet. 
?
Just wondering if there are any updates available since the version of the software for download looks a bit different that the screen shot on LOKI's website and wonders if that is just because the GPS has not obtained LINK and that functionality then will be displayed. 
?
I did find the some info on HyperTerminal to interface the ARTS and got that working once but the emulation just started looking gargled after the timeout. 
?

Hi Chris,

RF interference is common culprit..

First, make sure your antennae has line of sight to the sky for the GPS
receiver to receive telemetry data.
Second, put your antenna up high and wait a while, sometimes it can take a
while to get lock.
Besides that, make sure you are using a good RC Battery (like the 9Volt you
can get from Radio Shack).
I had this problem initially, but moved to an RC battery and the problem has
gone away.

One thing I have noted, is that the first time you connect to the modem, it
may take a while. I am not sure if
some configuration data is being stored in the TX900g and the micro needs to
be in a certain state, but initial
lock seems to take a while.

Finally, do your initial testing outside of the city, with Wifi, cordless
phones, and all sorts of RF out there in 900Mhz
land, your best results will be like those in the field.
