Hi All,
I am a new ARTS user. I am trying to get my ARTS2 unit set up to
communicate with DataAnalyzer and it will not work. I have perfect,
fully functioning installations of DataAnalyzer installed on my Windows
XP Professions 32-bit Panasonic Toughbook laptop, and on my Vista
Business 64-bit desktop.
Following Erik's instructions, I open up DataAnalyzer, make sure
everything is connected, then I power up the ARTS2 and try to
communicate with it before it goes into flight mode. On both systems,
100% of the time I just get the following message:
" The Alimeter is not in the correct state. Please verify that it is
turned on and not currently busy".
On the Windows 32-bit system, my connection is via the serial port built
into the laptop. On My 64-bit system the connection is via a Keyspan
19HS USB serial port adapter. In both cases, DataAnalyzer sees the COM
port, and in the case of my desktop, I can even confirm that
DataAnalyzer is opening up and using the COM port. So the problem is
between the ARTS and the serial port.
I have never flown my ARTS yet. Do you have to complete a flight with
it before it can be in the right "state" to communicate with
DataAnalyzer? Is there some setting I am missing? Please let me know
how to get this working.
Thanks!
